Woman critically injured in East Mount Airy shooting

EAST MOUNT AIRY (WTXF) - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting in East Mount Airy that has left a woman in critical condition.

Police were called to the 6600 block of Chew Avenue on the report of a shooting Sunday night, just after nine.

After they arrived, police found a 31-year-old woman shot in the back.

The woman was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.

Police the investigation is active and ongoing. No arrest has been made and no weapon has been found.
