Woman posts raw, graphic photo to highlight the realities of breast cancer treatments

ST. LOUIS, MO (WTXF) - A breast cancer survivor posted a graphic photo showing the effect her cancer treatments had on her body.

36-year-old Jenn Alter from St. Louis, Missouri posted a raw and painful-looking image of her breast during her 35-day radiation treatment back in 2013 to her Tumblr page.

Along with the photo she said, "Breast cancer isn't sexy. It's not about saving the boobies."

"It's scars, nausea, pain, bald heads, burnt skin, and broken hearts," she continued.
