Eagles extend running back Sproles through 2017

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The Philadelphia Eagles announced they have signed running back Darren Sproles to a one-year contract extension Friday morning.

The 33-year-old running back is now signed through the 2017 season.

Darren has been with the Eagles since coming over in a trade during the 2014 off-season.

The extension comes months after Sproles missed mini-camps earlier this off-season, along with Fletcher Cox, who was also signed to a new contract this offseason.
