Eagles Jason Peters, Jordan Hicks ruled out for season

Two more Philadelphia Eagles have suffered a season-ending injury following Monday night's win against the Redskins, according to head coach Doug Pederson

Pederson announced Tuesday morning veteran left tackle Jason Peters had an MRI Tuesday morning that revealed a tear in his ACL and MCL. Linebacker Jordan Hicks also had an MRI that revealed a torn Achilles tendon.

Peters, 35, was carted off the field in an air cast late in Monday night's game after a Redskins defensive lineman appeared to roll into the outside of his right knee.

Philadelphia fans chanted his name as he was carted off the field surrounded by members of both teams.

Hicks, who has been dealing with an ankle issue, went down following the second play of the game in the first quarter and was carted off the field.

The Eagles boast the second-ranked run defense behind the Denver Broncos in large part due to strong play from their linebackers and defensive line.

Hicks will finish the year with 28 total tackles, and a fumble recovery.
