Eagles linebacker Grugier-Hill apologizes to fan he hit during kicking warmups

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill stepped up to the challenge when he became the team's emergency kicker during their win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

However, Grugier-Hill will be the first one to tell you, his performance didn't come without any mishaps.

The veteran special teamer took to Instagram Monday morning to apologize to a fan he said he hit with a ball during sideline warmups when he missed the net.

Grugier-Hill wrote, "Just want to apologize to the fan I hit in warm ups when I completely missed the net!! 😳 lol Put it in God's hands and let ittttt RIP! #flyeaglesfly #9-1"

The linebacker took over kicking duties after kicker Jake Elliot was injured making a tackle on the opening kickoff.

Grugier-Hill impressed fans when he sent his first kickoff down to the goal line, only to improve upon his performance with his second kickoff attempt, sending it into the end zone and forcing a touchback.

The Eagles take on the Bears at home on Sunday.
