Eagles trade up to Number 2 pick in NFL Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced a trade with the Cleveland Browns that will land them the number two overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

According to the team's Twitter account the Eagles gave the Browns a total of 5 picks including picks in the first third and 4 th round in this year's draft, first round of the 2017 draft, and second round of the 2018 draft.

The Eagles also received the Brown's fourth round pick in 2017.

The trade means the Eagles will retain one of their third round picks in this year's draft (No. 79 overall).

The Eagles will also pick twice in Rounds 5 and 7, and once in Round 6.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman is expected to address the media following the trade Wednesday afternoon.

The trade comes after the Los Angeles Rams acquired the Number 1 overall pick in the draft last week in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.

The last time the Eagles picked in the second overall spot, they drafted Quarterback Donovan McNabb.
