Jim Schwartz Named Eagles Defensive Coordinator
PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - Jim Schwartz, a former NFL head coach, was named the Eagles' defensive coordinator Tuesday. New head coach Doug Pederson announced Schwartz's hiring during his introductory press conference.
FOX 29 cameras caught Schwartz arriving at 30th Street Station Monday night.
Schwartz has spent many years as an NFL defensive assistant, leading to a five-season stint as head coach of the Detroit Lions that ended in 2013. After a year as defensive coordinator in Buffalo, Schwartz spent last season as a consultant with the NFL's officiating department.
The Eagles have not yet named an offensive coordinator.
