Skier Nearly Hit by Drone

A world champion skier is lucky to be alive after he was nearly hit by a falling drone during competition.

Marcel Hirscher, an Austrian skier and four-time overall World Cup champion, was nearly hit by the object while running a a night slalom in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. The drone was in the air to take pictures of the run.

"This is horrible," Hirscher, who finished second, said, according to the AP.. "This can never happen again. This can be a serious injury."

While Hirscher skied by the drone successfully, he still lost the competition to Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway, although he maintains his lead in the overall World Cup race.
