90-degree temperatures will return Friday, but a beautiful weekend lies in wait!

Temperatures in the Delaware Valley will be heating up next week, a friendly reminder the "dog days" of summer are still here. Here's how that phrase came to be.

Friday's forecasted high is 90 degrees before we fall back into the 80s to start the weekend Saturday.

July 29 now holds the No. 1 spot in the record books for the most tornadoes in a single outbreak for the region covering southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The Bensalem Township tornado had 140 mph winds and the path of destruction was three and a half miles long. The tornado was 530 yards wide, which equals more than five football fields, according to the report.

FOX 29’s Scott Williams says sunshine should return to most of the region by Thursday morning, while clouds will linger at the shore through a lot of the morning. Most of the area should see sunshine in the afternoon.
