Weather Authority: Bitter wind chills Thursday ahead of weekend warmup
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia area will experience bitter wind chills Thursday morning ahead of record warmth for the weekend.
Temperatures will ramp up to 66 degrees on Saturday, up from a high of 36 on Thursday. The record high for January is 66 degrees set in 1975.
A snow squall hit the region early Wednesday afternoon, threatening travel with white-out conditions in heavy blowing snow.
