Weather Authority: Partly cloudy with scattered storms Tuesday

The Philadelphia area is slated for a wet and rainy Tuesday with partially cloudy skies and a chance of thunderstorms.

Temperatures will top out at 82 degrees.

Rain is expected to remain in the forecast through Friday.

Meanwhile, hurricane and storm surge watches have been issued as Hurricane Florence, a strong Category 4 storm, closes in on the Carolinas. It is too early to tell, though, how the hurricane will impact the Philadelphia area.
