Weather Authority: Snow to continue falling into the afternoon Sunday

Residents across the Delaware Valley woke up to a coating or even several inches in some areas Sunday morning.

Expect those flakes to keep falling at times during the day with more southern parts of our area now expected to see a few inches of snow on the ground when all is said and done Sunday afternoon.

Anyone hitting the roads Sunday is asked to use caution as roads may be slick in spots.

Later in the day Sunday, parts of the area could see more of a wintry mix that could cause totals and ground conditions to change.

The snowfall is expected to finally taper off for good before midnight, but not before leaving behind 3-5 inches in parts of South Jersey and Delaware and 2-3 inches in Philadelphia and portions of the surrounding counties.
