2 injured after card game leads to stabbing in Old City

OLD CITY (WTXF) - Police say a man was stabbed overnight when a card game turned violent in Old City.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 100 block of Bread Street, where three men were reportedly playing cards before a fight broke out.

One of the men smashed a bottle over the head of another. That man then stabbed his attacker in retaliation.

Both men were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and are expected to be okay.

Police say the third person was not injured in the scuffle.
