5-year-old has run-in with lawnmower

GLENVILLE, NY -- A five-year-old girl from Glenville, New York was taken to the hospital Friday after an incident involving a lawn mower.

Glenville Police say that the little girl was trying to spray her father with a squirt gun and he was unaware.

She was then hit by the lawn mower.

She suffered severe trauma to her foot.

The young girl was flown by helicopter to Syracuse's upstate medical university where she is now in recovery.

The incident was deemed to be an accident. No charges will be filed against the father.
