A Woman Named Isis Has Facebook Account Suspended

A San Francisco woman says Facebook thinks she's a terrorist.

On November 17th, Isis Anchalee's Facebook account was suspended and she has a feeling as to why. The California-based platform engineer turned to her Twitter community, saying that a screenshot of her passport wasn't enough to verify her identity.

The Tweet has since surpassed 2,000 retweets, with many followers sharing their support. Among them was Omid Farivar, who identifies himself as a researcher for Facebook in his Twitter bio.

According to Anchalee, it took three messages verifying her identity for Facebook to unlock her account.
