Archbishop Carroll music teacher accused of sexual contact with student

A teacher at Archbishop Carroll High School in Delaware County is accused of indecent contact with a student and providing THC-laced edibles.

Jeremiah Triplett, 30, is charged with institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of both endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Radnor Township police say the music teacher hosted two female students in his classroom during their study hall and lunch periods. According to a criminal complaint, the students vaped nicotine in front of Triplett and he eventually joined in.

Police say one of the students told officials that Triplett kissed her on multiple occasions, grabbed her buttocks and told her he couldn't wait until she turned 18. He's also accused of giving the two students pot brownies, gummies infused with CBD oil and mini bottles of alcohol.

In 2015, FOX 29 featured Triplett showing off the organ that was going to be used during the Pope's visit to Philly. He also sang in the choir along with some of his Archbishop Carroll students.

Triplett is also listed as the music director at Saint Katharine of Siena Church in Wayne. He had been working as an adjunct at Villanova University as the director of Villanova singers, but as of Tuesday he's no longer listed on their website.

Triplett is expected to turn himself in Wednesday.
