Family of boy thrown from Mall of America balcony awaiting test results
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The five-year-old boy, who Bloomington police say was thrown from the third level at the Mall of America, remains at the hospital, according to the latest update from his GoFundMe page.
"His condition has very little change at this point, but we are hoping to get some good news back from some upcoming tests in the next few days," read the update.
According to the charges filed Monday, the boy fell about 39 feet. He suffered multiple broken bones and massive head trauma. A suspect is in custody.
Donations continue to flood in for the boy. The fundraiser goal has been surpassed several times. More than $641,000 has been raised. People have also been leaving flowers and stuffed animals at the mall as a tribute.
"The family cannot express how grateful they are for all of the prayers, love and support that they are receiving," read the update. "There truly aren't enough words!"
