Fattah Found Guilty on 22 of 23 Counts

Chaka "Chip" Fattah, Jr., has been found guilty on 22 of 23 counts in his federal trial, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Fattah, the son of the Democratic Congressman of the same name, was charged with 23 counts of bank and tax fraud, in relation to statements he made related to loans from banks as well as the federal Small Business Administration.

Sentencing has been scheduled for Feb. 3; the U.S. attorney said in a statement that Fattah "faces a substantial term of imprisonment, restitution to the IRS, fines, a special assessment, and supervised release."
