Fire breaks out in Frankford row home
FRANKFORD (WTXF) - Fire crews battled a blaze at a home in the Frankford section of Philadelphia Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out shortly after 5:30 in a row home on the 4600 block of Oakland Street.
A witness on the scene told FOX 29's Dave Kinchen that two children, ages 4 and 7 jumped from a back window on the second story of the home to get to safety. Their mother jumped first and then called for her children to follow.
The witness said that one child jumped and fell on a radiator slightly while the other made it safely into the witness's arms.
The children were taken to the hospital for observation.
Fire crews also entered a second home the fire spread to in order to rescue another child.
The fire also spread to a third home.
Numerous medics are on the scene, but no one has been transported to area hospitals yet.
