Firefighters free dog stuck in sewer pipe

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (WTXF) - St. Louis firefighters came to the rescue of a poor pup whose head got stuck inside a sewer pipe on Friday.

Officials aren't sure how the dog found himself in the predicament.

"Not sure what was inside this sewer pipe that lured this puppy, but it wasn't coming off easily," the department posted on Facebook.

Video of the rescue shows firefighters snipping the pipe while trying to wiggle the dog free.

After some careful maneuvering, the pup was ultimately freed safely. No injuries were reported.
