Free Haircuts for Life for Straight-A Student

A 9-year old now has free haircuts - A straight-A report card has earned 9-year old Kamarian Fox free haircuts for the rest of his life.

Fox was challenged by his barber Mike Shelton at Next Level Barber Shop in Gastonia, North Carolina to get straight-A's during his back-to-school haircut this summer. Fox said he had never before made straight-A's and took on the challenge.

In November, he returned to the barber shop with his straight-A report card in hand and a haircut in mind. Shelton gladly cut his hair and hopes this can be a lesson not just for kids, but adults.

"Find a young person or a teenager in your own community and give them an incentive to do good in school," Shelton said.

As for the straight-A student -- the haircuts are great, but he's most proud of the grades.

"You shouldn't have to be rewarded to get good grades," Fox said.
