Nether Providence police report man found safe
NETHER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (FOX 29) - Police in Nether Providence are happy to report the missing man suffering from the effects of dementia and short-term memory loss has been found safe.
Officials say David Umbs, a 72-year-old resident of the Plush Mill Senior Living Center, was reported missing from the center in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, Saturday morning. Staff reported seeing Umbs getting into an Uber approximately 9 a.m.
It was reported the Uber driver took Umbs to the Court Diner in Media. Police believe Umbs was seen on Edgemont Street in Media.
Police say Umbs managed to secure a ride from an unknown person to Louisiana, and is now in the home of a relative.
They say they plan to continue to investigate.
