Photo of couple gazing into each other's eyes following crash goes viral

A photo of a young couple after surviving a car crash - neck braces and all - is going viral.

Three seconds. That's how long we had from the moment we drifted off the road until the truck hit the pilar at 85mph. In...

Arika Stovall told WTVF, "I don't know how we lived through that."

"I got a good gash across the forehead here," Arika's boyfriend, Hunter, said.

According to AOL, Hunter was driving the Toyota Tundra that crashed, and neither he nor Arika recall how the crash occurred.

WTVF reports that the couple was on their way home from Florida, and the next thing Hunter says he remembers is waking up just seconds before their car slammed into a Tennessee bridge.

After the crash, Arika wrote a lengthy Facebook post which includes the photo that has now gone viral.

She wrote that it was a miracle that neither of them had broken any bones or suffered any internal damage.

Arika also mentioned seeing a man with a beard following the crash. She called him her "guardian angel."

She wrote: "All of our belongings in perfect condition besides a few things here and there ... and the only thing left behind at the crash scene is Hunter's bible open, with a page marked with scripture telling us to not be afraid; Jesus is with us."

The photo was taken when Hunter visited Arika at the hospital.

"All I cared about was seeing her and making sure she was OK before me. I didn't care what happened to me as long as she was all right," Hunter said.

Since it was posted on January 3, the post has been shared more than 72,000 times.

Arika said, "I'm just happy that so many people have been touched by it."
