The photo was posted by Steffani Blair from Greenfield, Ohio, on December 18 who was also on the scene of the accident.

"Be kind to our first responders, they have a tough job, and they do it exceptionally well," wrote Blair. "Grateful to have witnessed this sweet tender mercy today."

After our sister station FOX 10 Phoenix shared the photo on its Facebook page on December 19, a Facebook user called Cheyenne Whaley commented to say that it was her dad in the photo.

Whaley responded to the comments, writing that the praise would mean a lot to him.

The photo on Steffani Blair's page had been shared 1,695 times at time of writing.
