Police: 71-year-old possibly sexually assaulted in East Oak Lane

Police are searching for a man who they say broke into a home and may have sexually assaulted a 71-year-old woman in the East Oak Lane neighborhood.

The incident happened around 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning on the 6400 block of N. 11th street.

"Don't put your hand on me little boy. I'm an old woman. Don't put your hand on me. I could be your grandmother or great-grandmother. I felt violated."

The 71-year-old woman who we'll call V describes the moment she awoke on her living room couch to a strange man touching her left breast. The intruder ran.

V believes this is the man who somehow got in through a closed window.

Caught on a neighbor's surveillance camera cops say he tried breaking into that house as well.

"I'll beat up any boy. I have five sons and I will jump him. If he had waited little longer if he didn't just disappear I would take him down with my bare hands."

Northwest Detectives Captain Malachi Jones says the suspect is distinct looking. He is described as 6'0", tattoos on both arms, with a goatee and braids put into a man bun.

"We strongly believe if anyone knows this male they'll be able to recognize him from this video," Captain Jones said.

V says the guy got away with her pocketbook.

Word of the home invasion spread fast in the neighborhood. Longtime residents vowing vigilance.
