Police Searching For Suspects In Hunting Park ATM Explosions

Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect responsible or an ATM explosion in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

The explosion occurred late Tuesday night at the intersection of 6th and Luzerne Street.

Police say this is the second ATM explosion in the area in two weeks, after a similar incident back on July 9th.

Chief Inspector Scott Small tells FOX 29 that police were able to recover surveillance video of the explosion from several businesses in the area.

He added that nobody was injured despite all the shrapnel that had been sent flying from the explosion.

No money was stolen from either ATM thanks to the inner steel safe in the base of the ATM.

Detectives tell FOX 29's Steve Keeley they believe the two explosions may be related.
