Successful foot surgery for Sixers rookie guard Zhaire Smith

PHILADELPHIA, P.a. (WTXF) - Sixers rookie guard Zhaire Smith underwent a successful surgery Thursday evening.

The surgery was to repair an acute Jones fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.

Smith acquired the injury doing Tim Grgurich's development camp in Las Vegas back on Monday.

Dr. Martin O'Malley performed the surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
