Suspect accused of urinating on Somerton synagogue charged

Philadelphia Police have charged a man they say was caught on video urinating on a Philadelphia synagogue after making an indecent hand gesture towards the surveillance camera. The suspect turned himself into police Tuesday.

Sheidali Dzhalilov, 23, has been charged with ethnic intimidation, indecent exposure, institutional vandalism, and related charges in connection with the incident.

On Sunday morning, around 12:30 a.m. police say video captured Dzhalilov walking towards the front doors of Congregation Beth Solomon on the 100 block Tomlinson Road.

Police say the video shows the suspect making an obscene hand gesture in the direction of the camera, before beginning to urinate on the walls, and sidewalk directly in front of the doors of the synagogue.

Dzhalilov then got into the passenger seat of a white four door sedan, and then left the area.
