WATCH: Cop Finds Toddler Freezing in Parking Lot After Carjacking
(FOX NEWS INSIDER) - Dramatic video captured the moment an Albuquerque police officer found a three-year-old girl freezing all alone in a parking lot after being dumped by a carjacker.
"Hi sweetheart, you ok? Come here, come here," the officer says.
Caraline Leon-Alcocar was in the backseat of her mother's car when someone stole it out of a grocery store parking lot Saturday evening.
The car was found abandoned without the toddler inside, setting off a frantic search.
Officer Chris Poccia was sweeping closed local businesses with his spotlight when Caraline's purple coat caught his eye. At that point, it was 1 a.m. and she'd been missing for five hours.
