Young woman posts photo of shaved head to social media after suffering from hair loss

(WTXF) - A young woman is receiving an outpouring of support from sharing a photo of her newly shaved head after suffering from hair loss for several months.

The woman, posting under her Reddit username neumannr, explained that since last December, her hair had thinned noticeably. She was then diagnosed with alopecia.

After she shaved the rest of her hair off, she wrote, "I feel strong. I feel beautiful. For the first time in months I look in the mirror and see myself. Women lose their hair for a variety of reasons, and it's time to start a conversation."

Other Reddit users commented on her post with praise, compliments, and questions alike.
