Remembering Roy Halladay: MLB honors legend gone too soon

Emotional tributes have been pouring onto social media after pitching great Roy Halladay died in a plane crash off the coast of Florida on Tuesday.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened just after noon in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico, just north of Bailey's Bluff in Holiday, Florida. Halladay, 40, was the only person onboard the plane at the time of the crash, according to officials.

After word of Halladay's death spread, baseball legends and current stars took to social media to pay their respects.
