Weather Authority: Warm and windy Wednesday; Fire Weather Alert

The Philadelphia area is slated for a windy Wednesday with warmer temperatures than we experienced yesterday.

A chilly start to the morning will give way to an afternoon with temperatures in the mid-60s. And with the warmth, comes the wind. Gusts could reach as high as 40 mph.

A red flag warning is also in effect for the region, meaning critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly due to a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels.
