Arrest made in deadly Rt. 130 hit and run
PENNSAUKEN, NJ (WTXF) - Authorities in South Jersey say they've arrested the driver behind a fatal hit-and-run.
The incident occurred Monday night around 11:23 p.m. along Route 130 and 49 th Street.
Police say a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the highway jumping over the median. Police say the victim was a 16-year-old boy.
The driver fled the scene, but police say they located the car in the city of Camden at 29 th Street and Clinton Ave. 40-year-old Susan Hyland was taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
According to police, Hyland has a suspended license, and was turned in by her neice.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
