Baby pygmy sperm whale rescued from beach but critical
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (WTXF) - A baby pygmy sperm whale that became stranded on the beach at La Jolla Shores is getting good care from marine mammal experts at SeaWorld San Diego -- but it's too early to say if she'll survive.
She was rescued from the beach on Friday.
Specialists from SeaWorld took the whale to a rehabilitation tank there, and she's getting 24-hour care.
FOX affiliate KSWB reports the whale -- a calf just weeks old -- is in critical and guarded condition.
