Backhoe punctures gas tank, causing explosion at Feltonville gas station
FELTONVILLE (FOX 29) - Emergency crews are responding to a reported explosion at a gas station in Philadelphia's Feltonville neighborhood.
Officials say the explosion occurred at the 7-11 gas station on the 4700 block of Mascher Street around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
According to police, a backhoe punctured an underground gas tank, causing an explosion.
SKYFOX was over the scene where the roof over the pumps had been knocked to the ground. The neighboring store is intact.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
