Bride surprises groom at altar with stunning, heartfelt singing performance

A bride from Norway brought tears to her groom's eyes after surprising him by singing a heartfelt rendition of a popular song with her father as they walked down the aisle.

Maria Holand Tøsse is a professional singer, and she along with her father Charles, sang You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban to her husband-to-be Ronny Eidsvik during her wedding march on August 8.

The video featuring the amazing moment was posted to YouTube and has now been viewed more than 6.6 million times.

As Tøsse enters the church from the vestibule doors, she begins to sing. And then halfway through the song, her father takes the microphone and sings a verse.

The video cuts back and forth to Eidsvik, who wipes away tears as he stands at the altar, watching his bride-to-be sing.

"Since I sing every day for others, I wanted to sing for the man who supports me every day," Tøsse told The Huffington Post. "He is the reason why I dared to start my own company and follow my dream to sing from my heart to others."

She said that it was her father's idea to join in on the rendition.

"He wanted to sing to Ronny too," she said. "He had a message to deliver: "And now it's time to give away my daughter. You know it's hard, so please take care of her"."

The performance boasted 30 singers and musicians who stood on balconies and towards the front of the church.

"Ronny cried and smiled," Tøsse told The Huffington Post. "He is such a sensitive person. And that's why I love him so much."

"I feel so blessed that I found a man that builds me up,' she continued. "Or as I sang to him, "You raise me up to more than I can be"."
