Celebrating George Washington's birthday with free cake

The Museum of the American Revolution celebrates the 286th birthday of George Washington.

George Washington, the first President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army was born 286 years ago in Virginia.

The museum gave out free birthday cake in honor of Washington.

Visitors were also encouraged to sign a giant birthday card.

The weekend also marks the final chance for visitors to see the museum's painting of Washington's war tent during the Revolutionary War.

The museum is also showcasing a diamond pendant eagle that George Washington wore. That will be on display until March 4th.
