Christmas Dinner at Philadelphia Veterans House

PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - The Philadelphia Veterans House, the West Philly institution which helps out veterans, served Christmas dinner Friday to a group of veterans.

The dinner was made possible by a GoFundMe campaign from Chef Marko Varela of Elkin Parks' Park Plates, who raised over $1,000 to feed the group of veterans; Varela cooked himself. The effort also purchased over 100 blankets.

Another veteran, Rick Owen, helped out at the event and his sons took part by washing dishes.
