Construction Worker Accidentally Puts Two Nails in His Kneecap on His Second Day at Work
(STORYFUL) - A carpentry apprentice, Imgur user ILLMATIC1994 doesn't have the best luck.
According to a series of images he posted on January 25, his second day at work in his new apprenticeship finished early after two "16 gauge wood framing nails shot into the space in between my kneecap and femur."
In a series of graphic shots, including an X-ray showing the nails, ILLMATIC1994, explains that the incident took place while he was helping out in his new job, working on a set of "condos we were framing near Wrigley Park in Chicago."
He continued, "I was all the way up top sheeting the roof when I had to step over the gap left between two units for a fire wall. Accidently [sic] stepped on the gas hose connected to the gun, gun jerked forward, met perfect with my knee."
Taken by a colleague to a local hospital so as to avoid "the outrageous ambulance fees," the Imgur user then had surgery to remove the nails.
"I had 6 doctors come into my room to tell me how lucky I was. All the years spent at a hospital in the lovely Chicago area and they had never seen such superb aim," he added.
