Drexel University students host day of literacy

Drexel University students were spending their day off giving back to their community.

The University's International Honor Society in Education hosted a day of literacy for local school kids at the Free Library of Philadelphia.

There was free food and drinks. Drexel students took turns reading books to the kids, hoping to motivate them to enjoy literature and to read and write more often.

The students also linked up library officials with parents to have a conference about how to get kids more engaged with reading and literature.
