Dropping crude oil prices give drivers a break at the pump

Drivers in New Jersey and across the nation are getting a break at the pump due to declining crude oil prices.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.83, down five cents from last week and below the average $2.97 at this time last year.

The national average gas price Friday was $2.77 also down five cents from last week and below the average of $2.93 at this time last year.

Analysts say summer gas prices are shaping up to be a little less than last year amid robust demand, cheaper crude oil prices and most refineries operating at normal levels.
