Dying wish fulfilled, newlywed passes away after battle with cancer

Christopher Ford, a local man who fulfilled his dying wish by marrying the love of his life, has passed away after a battle with cancer, according to his family. He was 26.

Before he passed, Christopher married his girlfriend Nicole in Tennessee, late this past August.

Prior to the weeding, Christopher and his family were told by doctors that he only had three months to live. He was told he may not make it to his wedding, which was originally planned for August.

Christopher and his family are originally from Warminster. He moved to Nashville not long ago to be closer to his mother, Amy, so she could care for him full time.

Christopher was diagnosed with stage four mouth and throat cancer last year. He beat it but it returned and had spread to his lungs.

Christopher and Nicole had been together three years. They have a 4-year-old daughter Maddie and a 1-year -old son Tristan who were both in the wedding.

His father recalled his own experience at the wedding when he spoke to FOX 29's Shawnette Wilson.

"I walked him down the aisle and up to the alter and I actually didn't know as well that I was going to say the vows because he can't speak because of his throat and mouth cancer."
