Local high school counselor accused of sexual assault

A counselor at Philadelphia's High School for Creative and Performing Arts Capa faces a list of charges tied to sexual assault and endangering children.

Police say 50-year-old counselor Bryan Sieber is facing four counts, including a sex assault, endangering welfare of children and criminal use of communication facility.

The Philadelphia School District released a statement reading in part:

"Our students safety is our top priority and this type of alleged behavior will not be tolerated in any of our schools or by any of our staff."

Sources tell FOX 29 Sieber, one of the college counselor at Capa for the past 8 years, was removed from school October 9 when administrators first learned of the accusations. They say police were alerted and the first notices went home to parents, according to the source. Days later, the source says Sieber was suspended without pay.
