Lower Merion officer rescues deer from fence

LOWER MERION (WTXF) - A Lower Merion police officer went above and beyond to save a deer and it was all captured on video.

Animal Control Officer Ed Boegly saved a yearling deer by sawing a fence, and his fellow officers in Lower Merion honored him by naming him "Hero of the Day."

Carrie Gross Pestronk took the video which was posted on the Lower Merion Police Department's Facebook page.
