Man bitten by deadly spider in tender spot while in bathroom
SYDNEY, AUSTRAILIA - A man in Sydney, Australia has reportedly experienced a living nightmare after being bit by a deadly spider while in the bathroom.
According to BBC, a 21-year old construction worker was bitten on the penis by the spider earlier this week, as he used a portable toilet.
The man was reportedly bitten by a poisonous red back spider, a close relative of the black widow.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, but did not find the man when they arrived, as he already gotten to the hospital on his own.
BBC reports that the man was treated and later discharged.
According to Newsweek, an anitvenom for the red back spider bite was introduced in 1956, and a man who died from complications of a red back bite earlier this month is believed to be the first to succumb to the bite since the antivenom was introduced.
