NJ man sentenced for buying child sex shows online

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man who bought live webcam shows of children engaging in sex has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison.

Stephen Hallett received a 63-month sentence on Friday. He also will have to serve five years of supervised release once he's freed from prison and will have to register as a sex offender.

The 67-year-old Wallington man had pleaded guilty last October to receipt of child pornography.

Prosecutors say Hallett bought the sex shows from unidentified people in the Philippines. They say he admitted buying the live webcam shows on dozens of occasions between 2013 and 2015.
