Pamela Anderson Announces She's Cured of Hepatitis C

(WTXF) - This past Saturday Pamela Anderson announced through a revealing Instagram post that she has finally beaten Hepatitis C after her 16-year struggle.

The model and actress had started a new FDA-approved drug regimen this summer that proved to be successful.

After being diagnosed with Hepatitus C in 2002, Anderson experimented with alternative medicines before trying the new anti-viral medication. When she first started the new medication Anderson claimed she expected to be cured within a month.

The racy photo she posted on Saturday in celebration showed her siting naked on a boat while laughing and covering herself up with her arms.

The post included the caption, "I am CURED!!! - I just found out #nomorehepc #thankyou #blessing #family #prayer #live," Anderson, 48, wrote. "I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon…# dontlosehope."
