Parents of Toddler Found Wandering Love Park Located

Philadelphia Police have located the parents of a boy who was found wandering around Love Park just before midnight Friday night.

Police say the parents reported their 2-year-old child missing a short time after he was located by a passerby and SEPTA Transit Officer.

According to police, the parents, 2-year-old son, and a 4-year-old daughter had been displaced and were spending the night in Love Park.

During the night, the parents say they fell asleep and the boy wandered off. He was later found wandering the park without shoes in a different area of the park.

Police transported the boy to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation. He and his sister have since been placed with DHS.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
