WEST PHILADELPHIA - Police responded to a call around 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning for an intentionally set fire.
The incident took place on the 4900 block of Girard Ave in West Philadelphia.
According to police, a 26-year-old female poured kerosene on the first floor of the home and set it on fire.
She then ran outside when two Good Samaritans were driving by and stopped. She continued to run down the street where she was eventually taken into custody.
The woman was charged with risking a catastrophe, arson, reckless endangerment and related offenses.
According to the 19th District police, the fire was placed under control and no residents suffered any injuries.
Police say the father of the woman's child lives at the location. Her motivation behind setting the fire was that she believed he stole $1,000 from her.
