Quincy Harris hosts AACC Annual Awards Gala

PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTXF) - Dozens of entrepreneurs and power players packed the house during the 2016 African American Chamber of Commerce for PA, DE and NJ Annual Meeting and Awards Gala.

Hosted by FOX 29's Quincy Harris, more than 500 business and civic leaders from across the region attended the Chamber's most prominent membership event of the year.

Attendees were treated to a significant feature at this year's event during "A Conversation with Ulice Payne, Jr.", the first African-American Baseball CEO.

He shared his secrets to success in a unique conversation style moderated by Harris.

City of Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Reverend Leah Daughtry, CEO of the Democratic National Convention Committee also gave remarks to guests.

This year's Vanguard Award recipient and Title Sponsor is Parx Casino. David Cohen accepted the Chamber's Corporate Advocate of the Year Award presented to Comcast.

This year's Nonprofit of the Year recipient is Julie Coker Graham and the Philadelphia Visitors and Conventions Bureau. Additionally, The Tactile Group has been named the Small Business of the Year and Syncrani will receive the Start-Up of the Year Award.
